your own skills? If you answered yes to any of these

To be a mentor for a new apprentice, you will attend a one-day
training and meet with your mentee for at least 2 hours per month.
Stipend will be provided. For more information about the
ACDS mentor program, please contact Suzi Brodof at 1-866-WVA-ACDS,

Visiting Employers
Phase 3 of our connecting with
Employers campaign is starting this fall. ACDS is an
employer-based program so our goal is to open the communication
between employers, instructors, DOL and apprentices. We feel
that the more information employers have about ACDS, the better it
will work for them and their employees. In Phase I, we
offered daylong seminars in 9 locations around the state to
explain the basics of ACDS to employers. In Phase II, we
provided this training at several state and regional conferences
around the state. In Phases III, Enola Foust, Southern Regional Coordinator,
Sherrie Barrett, Apprenticeship Specialist, and Suzi Brodof,
State Coordinator will be meeting with individual employers around
the state to make sure they are all up to date on the latest
information on ACDS. If you are an employer and have not
been contacted by any of the above people and would like to
schedule a visit, please contact Suzi Brodof at 1-866-982-2237 or
sbrodof@rvcds.org.
If you
are interested in finding out more information about becoming an
Apprentice, you can contact Suzi Brodof at 1-866-WVACDS, EXT. 406
or suzilb@aol.com, Enola Foust at 1-304-425-4545
or Sherrie Barrett at 1-866-WVACDS, EXT 404.
